Ministers Inaugurate Bridge Connecting Hungarian and Croatian Motorways

The new Zrinyi Bridge, connecting the Hungarian and Croatian Motorway was inaugurated on the 22nd of October.


Minister of Transportation, Telecommunication and Energy Pal Szabo and his Croatian counterpart Bozidar Kalmeta inaugurated the EUR 7.9 million Zrinyi Bridge over the Mura River along Hungary's border with Croatia on October 22nd 2008, thus completing the motorway connecting Budapest and the Adriatic Sea.

The bridge connects Hungary's M7 motorway to Croatia's A4 motorway. 

The bridge was built by Croatia's Hidroelektra Niskogradnja and Hungary's Betonut Mota-Engil Konzorcium. The investment was financed 50-50 pct by the two governments.
