French sporting-goods chain Decathlon will build its central European warehouse and logistical center in Hatvan (N Hungary), Hatvan Mayor Zsolt Ersek told MTI.
Mr Ersek said that Decathlon will begin construction of the facilities in April and plans to inaugurate them at the end of this year.
In the first phase of construction, Decathlon will build an 18,000-square-meter warehouse and department store, which will provide employment for 80-100 people.
Decathlon's logistical center in Hatvan will supply 25 company stores in Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Decathlon also intends to build both open and covered athletic fields and a so-called sports village including an indoor swimming pool at the 18-hectare site over the long-term future, Mr Ersek said.
