General Government Net Borrowing Was Equal to 4.4 Pct of GDP

According to preliminary financial accounts data, general government net borrowing was equal to 4.4 pct of Hungary’s GDP in 2009.

At the end of 2009, general government consolidated gross debt at nominal value amounted to 78.3 pct of GDP.
Net lending of households (i.e. their net financial saving) was equivalent to 3.2 pct of GDP in 2009, according to preliminary financial accounts data.
