Bosch to Invest HUF 9 Billion in Its Budapest-Based Automative Industrial R&D Unit

The Bosch Group, Hungary’s second most significant foreign industrial employer invests more than HUF 9 billion in its automotive industrial R&D capacity in Budapest.

The project, lasting between 2008 and 2012 and giving work to 200 new designing engineers is supported by ITD Hungary Zrt.
The Bosch group put its feet in Hungary in 1899. Today in its 5 Hungarian subsidiaries, close to 6000 employees develop and manufacture Bosch products for the Hungarian and international markets. The Budapest Development Center was established in 2005, where currently more than 430 designing engineers work.
”The Hungarian government provided such a supportive environment for our R&D activities that we decided to expand this division, said Thomas E. Beyer, leader of the Hungarian Bosch Group and CEO of Robert Bosch Kft.  "In spite of the economic hardships, Bosch makes long-term plans and gives a high priority to R& D,” he added.
