According to the Hungarian National Tourist Office, Budapest is one of the top-10 recommended Grand Tour cities in Lonely Planet Europe's latest edition.
It ranks alongside London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Vienna, Berlin, Dubrovnik, Athens and Istanbul. Editors highlight the cafés, the old and new buildings, Buda Castle and unique thermal baths.
