The Trade Balance Showed a Surplus of HUF 485 Billion in January-–April

Over the course of January–April 2010, the volume of exports and imports increased by 16 and 14 pct, respectively.

Over the course of January–April 2010, the volume of exports and imports increased by 16 and 14 pct, respectively, compared to the same period of the previous year. In HUF terms, exports rose by 7 pct, and imports were up by more than 4 pct. The growth rates in EUR
were 18 and 14 pct, respectively. The trade balance showed a surplus of HUF 485 billion (EUR 1,822 million), which is higher by HUF 183 billion (EUR 844 million) than one year earlier.
In the first four months of 2010, the value of exports amounted to HUF 5,852 billion (EUR 21.8 billion), while imports to HUF 5,367 billion (EUR 20 billion).
